What is coaching?

Life coaching provides a collaborative partnership that mobilizes and supports individual personal and professional growth. A relatively new profession, coaching can be an empowering, energizing and transformational process. Coaching offers a helpful framework for personal empowerment, consistent growth, lasting change, and greater happiness.

The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as “an ongoing professional relationship that helps people produce extraordinary results in their lives. Through the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life.”

How is coaching different from therapy?

While the coaching relationship can be very therapeutic, it is not intended to replace therapy when appropriate.
